📝 Draft Blog Post (for campaign site)

Title: “End the War on Marijuana: A Smarter, Safer, Stronger America”

Body:

Every year, America spends billions enforcing marijuana prohibition — money that should be used for schools, healthcare, or infrastructure. Instead, we funnel it into policing, courts, and prisons.

Meanwhile, states with legal cannabis programs brought in $4.2 billion in tax revenue in 2023 alone. California raked in $1.1 billion; Colorado and Washington have accrued more than $6.5 billion since legalization began jeffries.house.gov+1prisonpolicy.org+1politico.com+2investopedia.com+2en.wikipedia.org+2.

Beyond revenue, legalization creates jobs — supporting nearly 100 000 workers, from farmers to pharmacists moritzlaw.osu.edu+15investopedia.com+15mpp.org+15. It also dismantles dangerous black markets and adds consumer protections.

Most of all, legalization upholds fairness. The War on Drugs has disproportionately harmed Black and brown communities. Legal markets and tax-funded fairness programs offer real remedies.

It’s time to shift from criminalization to common sense. Tax cannabis — don’t chase it. The money we waste chasing “pot smokers” could instead fix roads, fund schools, bolster veterans’ services, and more.

Let’s redirect those billions back to our communities. End marijuana prohibition — and invest in America’s future.

Global Prosperity Initiative: Peace, Jobs & Shared Security

Legislative Proposal and Campaign White Paper

Title: The Global Prosperity Initiative (GPI): A U.S.-Led Commitment to Global Peace, Shared Security, and Human Advancement

Author: Robert Lee Beers III, Candidate for Congress, South Carolina District 1

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Global Prosperity Initiative (GPI) is a transformative, U.S.-endorsed, United Nations-led multilateral peace and development framework. It calls for a multi-phased plan centered on disarmament, equitable economic growth, global disease eradication, and environmental protection. Under this proposal, Congress will lead by example—demonstrating that global security and prosperity can begin with a single vote. By supporting the GPI, we restore America’s moral authority, improve the daily lives of our citizens, and work toward a future where cooperation, not conflict, drives human history forward.

PART I: INTRODUCING THE GPI TO CONGRESS

Congressional Resolution

Title: H.R. XXXX - Global Prosperity Initiative Act of 2025

Purpose: To authorize the U.S. Government to commit to Phase 1 of the GPI, including WMD stabilization, global famine relief, disease eradication pilot programs, and multilateral ceasefire negotiations.

Key Provisions:

  • Authorize up to $20 billion over 5 years in redirected funds (no new taxes) from existing military surplus, unallocated aid, and corporate tax enforcement.

  • Appoint a U.S. GPI Envoy to work under the UN with full bipartisan oversight.

  • Propose UN Security Council reforms to ensure rotating regional representation.

  • Establish a U.S. GPI Watchdog Commission (including veterans, scientists, and economists) for transparency.

Benefit to Americans:

  • Redirects resources from endless wars to food, healthcare, and jobs.

  • Reduces global refugee pressure through investment, not force.

  • Expands U.S. green tech exports and creates 500,000+ new jobs by 2030.

  • Ends wasteful Pentagon spending on obsolete WMD programs.

PART II: THREE PHASE GLOBAL FRAMEWORK

PHASE 1: Crisis Stabilization (2025–2027)

  • Ceasefire resolution tabled by U.S. in partnership with China and EU.

  • Global WMD freeze, verified by AI and blockchain-tracked UN observers.

  • Launch famine corridors to Yemen, Somalia, Haiti.

  • Debt relief for poor nations in exchange for verified disarmament.

PHASE 2: Structural Equity (2028–2032)

  • Global smallpox/polio/measles eradication with U.S.-India-EU mRNA hubs.

  • Truth Commissions (South Africa model) in post-conflict nations.

  • Land reform and seed tech transfers to ensure food independence.

  • Transparency and anti-corruption in military and security forces.

PHASE 3: Shared Prosperity (2033–2040)

  • Global climate peace parks with renewable energy access and local equity stakes.

  • Universal AI ethics standards set by a U.S.-led international commission.

  • 5% corporate profit sharing from gig-economy multinationals to fund innovation.

  • Equity audits in digital systems to ensure fair global labor practices.

PART III: HOW EACH COUNTRY CONTRIBUTES AND BENEFITS

PART IV: HOW GPI BENEFITS AMERICAN CITIZENS DIRECTLY

  • Lower food prices through global food security efforts.

  • Cheaper healthcare via vaccine research and insurance policy reform.

  • Job creation in clean energy, AI, logistics, and medical tech sectors.

  • Reduced military expenditures means more for veterans, schools, and infrastructure.

  • Stronger national security through global conflict reduction.

PART V: WHITE PAPER FOR CAMPAIGN SITE

Blog Title: "Global Prosperity Starts Here: A Real Plan for Lasting Peace and Shared Wealth"

Post Summary: In a time of division, it’s easy to give up on global unity. But this plan proves we don’t have to. The Global Prosperity Initiative will build bridges, not bombs. It’s built on facts, history, science, and compromise. And best of all: it helps you. It makes your healthcare cheaper, your food more secure, and our world more stable.

Read the full proposal, explore each phase, and share your voice. Together, we can lead.

FINAL NOTE

The GPI is not a dream. It’s a choice. We either act boldly now or allow collapse to creep in through inaction. Congress can lead with legislation that sets the framework, funds the peace, and empowers the United Nations to act not as a symbolic body, but as a real engine for progress.

Let’s get to work.
